New Visions 21st Century Community Learning Center

The SuAnne Big Crow Boys and Girls Club proudly announces the arrival of New Visions, an after-school program that will focus primarily on academic achievement and activities. 

Students will learn from web-based teaching software and participate in the many social and athletic opportunities the Club has to offer.

Our Club and our Executive Director, Leatrice "Chick" Big Crow, are featured in this new, best selling book by the Academy Award Winning Actor.  Be sure to read this feature, along with the other accounts of inspirational people in the book.

SuAnne Big Crow Memorial Walk/Run

The annual SuAnne Big Crow Memorial Walk/Run was held on Wednesday, April 26, 2006. Approximately 800 runners/walkers participated. The club was alive with activity, including a full-house awards and honoring dinner in the gymnasium.

Distinguished Service Award for Leatrice Big Crow

The South Dakota Interscholastic Athletic Administration Association has awarded a Distinguished Service Award to our Executive Director, Leatrice "Chick" Big Crow, for the Spirit of Su awards. See the web page on the Spirit of Su Awards for a description of the award and the latest winners.

Student Group Constructs Ropes Course

A group of student volunteers from Colorado State University came to the club over the weekend of April 21st through April 23, 2006. Working under the lead of the Student Leadership and Civic Engagement program, they constructed a ropes course on the club grounds, and demonstrated how the course can be used to club staff.

Jr. Hoopers League Tournament

The playoffs for the Jr. Hoopers Basketball League were held at the club on Friday, April 28. Enthusiasm was high during the four games that were played.
